As experienced LIHTC and affordable housing architects, DNA Workshop was proud to partner with the Alexandria Housing Authority and Knight Development to renovate and revitalize three attainable housing communities in Alexandria, LA. The three neighborhoods previously known as Fairway Terrace, Green Meadow, and Miracle Plaza had fallen into disrepair, but with our thoughtful approach, we were able to transform them into the thriving Harmony Garden Estates.
With a focus on preserving the unique personalities of each neighborhood, we took on the challenge of renovating 172 units in total. Our team prioritized bathroom and kitchen renovations, providing all-new appliances to ensure that residents have the modern conveniences they need. We also updated flooring and lighting, while making energy-efficient upgrades to HVAC systems and plumbing.
The exterior upgrades were equally important to us, as we wanted to give residents a sense of pride in their homes. With our expertise in multi-family renovation, we enhanced curb appeal and made sure that the new landscaping and outdoor amenities were not only beautiful but functional as well.
Now known as Harmony Village, Garden Gates, and Tranquil Estates, these three refreshed neighborhoods are a source of pride for both their residents and Alexandria as a whole.
