Associate
Junyi Wu received her Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from Soochow University, China, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, where she received the AIA Central Virginia Student + Emerging Architects Award and the UVA Student Merit Award. She also served as a teaching assistant for Design Studio and Environmental Systems courses at UVA, which fostered her interest in mentorship and collaborative learning.
Prior to joining DNA Workshop’s Richmond office in 2026, Junyi gained experience at firms including Gensler and Neri & Hu and worked for three years at RD Jones & Associates near Washington, D.C., focusing on multifamily and hospitality interior projects. At DNA, Junyi works on a range of commercial, multifamily, and retail projects. Her role involves supporting projects from early design and technical development through construction, translating client goals into sustainable solutions. With her dual background, Junyi specializes in the intersection of architecture, interiors, and user experience.
Outside the office, Junyi enjoys rock climbing, attending musicals, and playing board games with friends. She is always eager to explore new activities that combine creativity, strategy, and a bit of fun.
