Associate
James Durrani received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the National College of Arts & Architecture in Lahore, Pakistan and his Master of Architecture from University of North London in the UK where he majored in Digital Design Systems in Architecture. During the pursuit of his masters, he was honored with a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) award related to his digital design studies. James has worked at a variety of international architectural firms in London, Pakistan and Toronto, and came to DNA Workshop after his time with Ark Architects in Dallas.
With over 20 years of experience in the field, James specializes in residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. He joined DNA Workshop’s Richmond office in 2025 and uses his attention to detail and 3D visualization to help support the team with design development, technical coordination, and preparing drawings and documentation across different phases of a project.
Outside of work, James enjoys hand sketching, watercolor art, photography, running, and playing tennis. He also likes exploring local arts, culture, and new places.
