
DNA Workshop’s Student Internship Program is a competitive, immersive experience designed to accelerate professional growth for emerging designers.
DNA Workshop’s Student Internship Program is designed for architecture and interior design students who want more than just résumé padding. Interns are fully integrated into project teams and gain real-world experience across multifamily, affordable housing, historic rehabilitation, and hospitality work.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced program built for students who are curious, motivated, and ready to learn how a professional design firm actually operates.

What You Need to Know About Our Student Internship Program

Internship Schedule
Summer: June – August
Fall: September – December
Spring: January – May
Internship semesters align with local college and university academic calendars. If selected for an internship, we will work with you to set specific weekly schedules for you to work during your term.

Baton Rouge, TX: Architectural Internship
Dallas, TX: Architectural Internship
Richmond, VA: Interior Design Internship
All internships are fully in-person. No remote or virtual options will be considered.

Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program
3.0 GPA or higher
Fourth- or fifth-year students preferred (strong third-year students may be considered)
Strong interest in professional practice and the built environment
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a collaborative studio setting

Compensation
Internships are temporary, part-time, paid positions. Hourly compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
