Administrative & Marketing Assistant
Sarah Westphal earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech and immediately joined Novetta Solutions (formerly known as FGM, Inc.) as a Process Improvement Analyst and then Marketing Communications Specialist. She returned to college and earned an additional Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Mary Washington. After her second degree, she worked as Program Manager, Families Forward Virginia; Owner & Corporate Event Planner, Blue Beacon Events; Senior Marketing Event Project Specialist, MCG Health; and most recently as Senior Meeting and Event Specialist for Markel—a global risk and insurance company where she planned, led, and executed internal/external meetings and events. Sarah joined the DNA Workshop Richmond office in 2025 where she provides administrative and marketing support to ensure the office is running efficiently and the Virginia team is set up for success. Detail-oriented and organized, she offers a wide range of experience working for nonprofits, small businesses, and in the public and private sectors. When Sarah’s not in the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors—especially anything involving water. She loves traveling, antiquing, concerts at local Richmond venues, designing floral wreaths, and spending time with her husband and lab/shepherd mix, Ziggy.
