Associate Architect
Aryana earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia where she was directly involved with Charlottesville’s local artists and musicians and served as the co-president of a Student Hip Hop organization to bridge the gap between student life and the local community. With a Puerto Rican and Bolivian background, Aryana’s family experienced displacement and neglect of basic infrastructure, which inspires her to work on projects that ensure a built environment that is inclusive for all people and supports a connection with nature. As an Associate Architect for DNA Workshop, she works with clients designing new commercial, industrial, and residential spaces, as well as redesigning existing spaces based on the needs and requirements for each specific project. Outside of work, she is very passionate about the arts, specifically in fashion design and traditional oil painting, which she practices in her spare time. If not in a museum or out with friends and family, you’ll find her snuggled up with little dog Oreo watching horror movies.
