One of the founding members of DNA Workshop in 2012, Abe is a Baton Rouge native, a graduate of the LSU Master of Architecture program and licensed Louisiana architect. Abe has experience with a wide array of architectural redevelopment and renovation projects, including historic renovation, mixed-use, and multifamily housing. Kinney uses a hands-on approach to architecture to help the practice achieve its goals. He is heavily involved in both the construction and fabrication of many DNA Workshop projects and knows what it takes to bring projects from design to reality. A veteran craftsman, Abe’s appreciation of craft and knowledge of the fabrication process is a valuable resource to the firm. Deeply entrenched in the DNA inner-office workings, you’ll also find Abe dabbling in everything from accounting to computer maintenance and sometimes stepping up as the office’s official handyman. Outside of work, Abe keeps busy beekeeping, chicken rearing, playing with his two kids, and tending to his duties as a Lord of the Principality of Sealand.
